I am so grateful that God is sovereign. He is on His throne and totally in charge. God is never uneasy or nervous.
Today I met with the deacons and we decided to cancel all services and activities until April 5. We will be the best we can with messages and Bible Study through Facebook Live. It is our desire to be a good testimony to those in our community in doing our part in the prevention of this disease in following the guidelines suggested by the President.
We are asking every member to continue to pray for those who are sick, the health professionals and government officials.
All programs through the week will be suspended.
We will be live-streaming Sunday at 11am. You can go to facebook.com/greatlakesbaptist
Let’s be faithful in our tithing and our giving above the tithe. You can give online at glbtflint.org. You can also mail your offering to 2112 E Maple Ave, Flint, Michigan 48507.
Our deacons are doing their best to be aware of needs arising among our membership at this time and are contacting folks concerning the current changes and procedures.
As we shared Sunday, we want to stay connected. Any other changes will be posted on our website, as well as our church Facebook page.
I want us to stay vigilant and responsible. Let’s make it a priority to pray for our church and country. Our President, declared a National Emergency concerning COVID-19. I want to do what is right, based upon the information we have at this time.
Please do what the Lord is leading you to do. If you have any concerns, you can watch at 11a from your home. Please know we are praying for you.
Vicki and I love you,
Yours In Christ,
Pastor David Chittenden
